The SoundBrick® Model 500 is a solid-state digital audio recording and playback device designed to provide a continuous-play audio source for telephone message-on-hold and other single-message applications. The message on hold or advertising audio program loads into the SoundBrick’s digital memory automatically from your pre-recorded cassette tape. If a power outage occurs the tape is automatically reloaded once power is restored.
In addition to the standard continuous-play (message on hold) mode the SoundBrick 500 can also offer message play only when remotely activated by connecting devices such as buttons switches or motion sensors to the optional 1/8 mini-plug trigger cable. The trigger mechanism can be located hundreds of feet away because the SoundBrick’s optically isolated circuitry eliminates false triggering and allows for cable runs of up to 1500 feet.
